Can you believe that it's already 5 years since '59 Sound was released? Time flies ...

That record release show was the best. Everybody knew all the words before the album even officially came out. (I know I bought multiple copies cause I felt bad, sorry guys!)

I only became a fan maybe a few months before 'American Slang' came out, so to me, The '59 Sound seemed like a timeless classic back then...

having a hard time believing that its only been in existence for five short years...

haha what a great picture!! Thanks for sharing Manuela!!

I also "started" with American Slang...it's always exciting to find a new band and then listen to their older records Smile

5 years is a long time, looking forward to the next 5 years Wink

Just gotta say thanks to the guys for putting everything they had into that album. IT paid off, 5 years later it's still considered a classic.

I can't believe it's been 5 years! Maybe that's because I only feel 3.5 of them, haha. But I still remember a time when T59S was their most recent album so it's strange to think they've put out two LPs since then and are already working on another!

Yeah, mine too. I just thought about that yesterday. I still remember the first time I heard that album in March 2009. It literally changed my life when I think about it. Smile

Listened to it in full for the first time in ages yesterday, and felt incredibly nostalgic. Definitely one of my favorite albums ever and it's crazy to think it's been around for 5 years already. I'm excited to see what the guys come up with for this next album!

Still my #1 record of all time and probably always will be. Absolutely flawless. Can't believe it's been that long. That album was a sea change for me in so many different ways. I am so grateful for those 12 songs.
