PostSubject: Smart DJ software for lazy people. Any ideas?   Sun Dec 09, 2012 7:06 am

Hi Folks,

This is a question Iíve been meaning to ask all week long. I already tried to google the issue but I canít help to say that there are too many answers for me to judge the good from the bad solutions.

I am going to throw a house-warming party next week. Thus, Iím looking for software that mixes a library of music in a DJíish way. By that awkward description I mean software that ďknowsĒ what order of songs is making sense (tempo-wise) and that will fade the songs into each other without those stupid pauses in-between.

Is there any such thing?

Happy days and thanks for your time.
Josef

iTunes can do the crossfades but not the other part. But you could just make a playlist.

Thanks, that's true. But that would take me ages. I thought there's an easy way out.

hmm, i'm not into it, but there's a function called "genius" in itunes. it's supposed to play songs that fit together (whatever this may be scratch ) so this may be an option Smile

If you have a Windows computer, try Direttore (http://www.mixtime.com/defreed.html) Has fades in between times and a 'break after song' function too.

Hopes this helps!
