Misery is a really good song but I'm not so keen on Hold You Up. Maybe it will grow on me after a few listens. The Skinny Love cover is pretty impressive too.

Just downloaded. Sounding good, thoughts below after one listen:

They're all mainly acoustic, not sure how much input the band has had.

Misery - sounds more 'Horrible Crowes' than anything TGA have done. Reminds me of Ryan Adams a bit actually - really like this one.
Skinny Love - pretty true to the original with some interesting layered vocals from Brian. I probably prefer this to the original but I'm not a huge Bon Iver fan so that's to be expected.
Hold You Up - hmmm, might be a grower this one. Lyrically it sounds familiar and musically it doesn't grab me on first listen.

'Misery' is brilliant.

Would be nice to have lyrics for the two new songs.

Love these new slow acoustic songs, Brian should make a full album like this.

I'm going to echo a lot of what Mark said...

The two new ones definitely have a Horrible Crowes feel to them. Both decent and prefer Misery at the moment. Never been big on Bon Iver (to be honest, I've not really listened to them very much) so its hard to judge Skinny Love against the original, but a solid effort nonetheless.

Agree a lot with a tweet I read earlier... "letting this new gaslight ep sink in, brian fallon could sing the phone book and it would sound amazing"

Misery is so great. Do I hear this line correctly: "If the pills in my system came to call you up again, would you buy me a drink to calm down?" Pretty dark stuff, even for Fallon

Misery is awesome! Hold You Up is different, in a good way! And Skinny Love is great, i won't ever listen to Bon Iver so i'll just pretend this is a gaslight song !
