I've been listening to a lot of Pink Floyd lately, especially the Wish You Were Here album. I discovered that it helps me focus while I'm writing, so it's a nice departure from the classical music I usually put on to drown out the background noise.

Anybody else heard of a band called 'Right the Stars'? I heard Best Days of Our Lives on an advert and I am quite liking their other songs.

I picked up Frankie Rose's new album a couple of days ago, and she's pretty freaking great. Look up "Interstellar" if you haven't heard of her, I guess I'd put her in an ambient sort of category - beautiful voice, too.

(I really hope their new album has at least a couple good punk style songs on it...)

I don't know a lot of Alkaline Trio but doesn't this sound like an Alkaline Trio song?

Ahh, yes. I definitely need to hear that. The whole thing is streaming on Spinner, so I'm gonna have to give it a listen after work.

I picked up a copy of The Used's new album today. Big mistake. It's terrible. I keep on hoping they'll put out an album that lives up to their first one, but they just get worse and worse.

Daisy - Brand New. I've been listening to Brand New nonstop for the past six months, and I don't think I'll be able to stop anytime soon.

Laughing I used to listen to Brand New a lot back in high school, but I pretty much stopped a few years ago (God knows why...). And then I picked up Your Favorite Weapon again last fall, and ever since then this band has pretty much been like crack.

Dave Hause- Resolutions . It worries me how much I can listen to this album on repeat, and never get tired of it. About as perfect a half hour of music that I've heard in a long time. Love it. Looking forward to the reworking of tracks for the upcoming vinyl releases.

Alkaline Trio - Halloween 2002 . Not their greatest live performances, but a nice raw one all the same.

Cory Branan - Misc . Just a collection of stuff that I amassed lately, after seeing him in Orlando, love the guys style and his approach. Looking forward to The Windmill gig.

Gaslight Anthem - Sink Or Swim . Well, what more can be said that probably hasn't been said a million times on here, apparently there's a new album out soon...

Alkaline Trio- Damnesia. Finally bought a copy of this, after spending massive amounst of time listening to it on youtube. God I love the Trio.

Also got a copy of Wild Flag's album, which I've also listened to a ton but never bought until now. Wild Flag is so damn good. Carrie Brownstein is the shit.

AND got Brandon Flower's solo album. I don't care what anyone says. That man writes some catchy ass music.
