Haha, oh no! I'm afraid of what drama queen character you might think up for me! Razz

Beards! I think Brian must be lurking around here and have seen all of the beard talk on this board. That would be hilarious if I was actually right! I think his stories and jokes and stuff are so funny. He should be a comedian on the side! That would be perfect.

I have many talents. Making a huge mess with food is just one of them. One time I was baking cupcakes with the kids and spilled a whole bag of flour all over the place (the bag ripped and it went all over the floor and counter). They loved the "flour cloud" that hung in the air afterwards but I did not!

Haha Yeah, I dunno... that would be funny if he spent some time lurking here and seeing all the beard talk. But, it was funny that he gave Alex a hard time about liking all beards. I guess Alex must really like beards! Yeah, I'd definitely pay to go to a stand up comedy show if Brian put one on. haha

Yeah, I don't suppose driving fast is another one of your talents? haha That's funny the kids loved the "flour cloud." Oh to be a kid again. I bet you had to clean it up tho... but did they at least help? That must have been quite the mess!

I'd go to Brian's comedy show too! And that's interesting about Alex liking beards so much! Razz

Haha, yeah, the kids helped clean up. They love to help out, and I appreciate the help because it was the worst mess ever! They thought it was so great though and I remember I had to give them both a bath afterwards because they were covered in flour too! That was two summers ago, I think, when they were three and five. We always have an adventure with anything we do. Very Happy

Okay guys, I'm going to call it a night. Sleep well and I'll talk to you later! wave Sleep

Does this count as a preview!? Or it has to be just the YouTube link alone? I'm confused. Enjoy a free link if it counts I guess (what I just posted).

Night Shannon!

Not the first - not the last .

Most artist try to get big, make the most money as they can. It would be one thing if gaslight had said "we don't want money, we don't want fame" . but they haven't and have even said the exact opposite of that at times. (Even before signing to a major). So they haven't "sold out" and everything that's happening to them on a major label is really no different than what other artists go through with them.

But hey everyone's entitled to their own opinion....

I think the "sell out" term being thrown out is more that fans are starting to see them shift away from this very small personal band. Hey there are times I wish they could always be this little jersey band that no one knows. But I also realize that's a little selfish of me. And isn't realistic if the guys want to make it to "stadium shows" level. And in the end its their band, their choice. As long as the musics good I really can't complain. If the music takes a hit than that's a different story.

And do we need to find ALL of them or does the '45' one they already posted count as an entry?

I think of a sellout as someone who changes their music and image to keep up with what's popular rather than be themselves. That's pretty much it.

I thought of the StumbleUpon thing as a joint venture with StumbleUpon to create some kind of fun scavenger hunt for fans. However, it's like finding a needle in the haystack and proving to be annoying Sad

Good point Deb! Yeah, I remember Brian saying in an interview somewhere that when playing with Bruce, he though it was cool to see so many fans, and that it'd be cool to reach that level. If it's something they want to do, I'm sure they'll bust their butts to get there. So, you can't blame them. "In the end it's their band, their choice." That is so true.

Clap Yes. I completely agree. And, in my opinion, these guys just want to make good music and they're not trying to keep up with what's popular.

Anyway, I'm gonna sign off. Have a good night you all.

Oh yeah, I remember when that came out (twss)

Rant:
Next time I go to interview someone who takes their time answering, I'm going to repeat the mantra "Shut up and let them talk instead of trying to guide them." My interviewer hero is Howard Stern, but I'm not on the radio so I don't need to fill dead air. *kicks self*

Haha, nice! Also I'm jealous, I'm having Springsteen withdrawal. Also with the number of Springsteen and Gaslight shows I've been to, the number of times I've been to NJ and with how often I defend it to idiots who insult it, I often forget that I'm not from there. Haha, it's sad.
