Searched and couldn't find a topic on them. I first heard of them because Benny name-dropped them in that awesome interview where Brian is faced on coffee haha. Then I found out they were playing the Fest this year so I decided to check them out. So glad I did. Three songs into Restless Rubes I ordered the LP and an EP they did last year off their site. Such a great discovery.

As to what they sound like, they're either really rootsy power pop or the most melodic alt-country band to ever exist. But with some rough edges. Really great stuff.

Anyone dig these guys?

I've never listened to their records but I saw them live with Fake Problems once and thought they were really boring. Could be an off night though, maybe I need to check 'em out again.

I was just kinda 'meh' when I saw them tour with Against Me! and Fakey P. The lead singer makes this awkward kissy face that tickled me throughout the set, however, so that was.....interesting.....

Wow, I guess I'm not that surprised at the neutral reaction to them. I think they're pretty amazing (well, Restless Rubes, at least...haven't really absorbed anything else) but I guess they're kind of an oddball band stuck between genres.
