Wait..is this the same person you mentioned a few pages back that you like?
No. This was a different girl. This first girl was when I was around 16/17. Then there was one who was just being nice my junior year, I asked her if she wanted to do anything over the summer, and as I left-I heard her laughing behind my back. But no, First girl is a whole different girl than the current one I am waiting on. Honestly, how am I an asshole? I am a nice guy. I always get told this. A little sarcastic, a little difficult to get to talk to, but a nice guy.

Why are you difficult to talk to? How can you change that? Obviously that has nothing to do with these dozens of girls you have mentioned, it's something within yourself that you need to address.
I just kind of have a slight stutter, That makes me sound and look stupid. So I really choose not to talk much. Plus I really have a limited amount of things to talk about that keeps my interest.

seriously, i imagine if he talks to all girls the way he talks around this place, they're probably walking away from you to keep themselves from becoming suicidal.

It's not always about your interest, sometimes, and I know this is crazy, you just gotta listen to what others say, and at least take an interest in what they have to say. Who knows, you might even learn something.

It's strange, I'm typing this, and I feel like I'm trying to keep it simple for an 8 year old.

Jimmy, when you're with these girls, what do you talk about?

In general.
I let her start the conversation, and then continue from there. Some of the stuff has been, music, work, how her day/week was, stuff like that.

At the end of the day, people on here can give you advice til hey are blue in the face...or fingers, but it's life lessons that we all had to learn ourselves, some learn them quicker than others.

Man, you keep putting barriers up, and I do get where you are coming from, feck, I'm no beauty, never was, and never will be. But ya know what, eventually it just gets to the point where you say fuck it, make of it what you can, and learn to get past that. The longer you wallow in the self pity you seem to be enjoying, then the harder it is to get past that.

You're only 20...TWENTY, fuck me man, that's nothing, if life is getting you down now, and you don't start learning how to adopt and just say fuck it sometimes, then you've got some real shit heading your way...

It's fine to vent. But not the same topic every few weeks. Over. And over. And over. I think we've done a good job giving a variety of advice so at least WE aren't completely repetitive.

Romance for 8 year olds! LOL

As much as Jimmy has told us, there's a ton of stuff he hasn't. It's clear from the total lack of self esteem that he hasn't processed life events correctly. A stutter doesn't make you sound stupid. It's a speech impediment that is not your fault and is no excuse not to try to be a good conversationalist. I'd tell you what I've had to overcome, but again, it won't make a damn difference. No one is perfect. It's how you handle your so-called "flaws." Assuming someone thinks you're stupid is not the way to build yourself up. Maybe just watch The King's Speech. Or read up on Mel Tillis' story http://larrywayneclark.com/tillis.html (a singer). You've got to look to be inspired. YOU look to be disappointed and for ways to bring yourself down because you don't believe you deserve better. Just like how you read into Johan's photo and assumed he was telling you there's no hope. We can't fix that about you. Unless you go for professional help, you're screwed. But you won't so... you're probably screwed.

Even the most confident people have some part of themselves, physically or otherwise, that they are self-conscious about. I think of myself as a very confident person. I have really good self-esteem, I like who I am as a person, but my self-image isn't the best and I find a lot of fault in myself that I have been told isn't true. But that doesn't matter because it's how I feel.

But I am a caring person, I try really hard to live my life the way I believe I should (the way God wants me to), I am a good friend, and I try to put my good qualities out there for the world to see and not display what I don't like about myself. It's all about how you want to present and carry yourself.

Now see, that makes me mad. When did any of us ever say that you would never find anyone? We didn't! All we have done is tried to be helpful. Over and over again! But you shoot us down every time. No matter how hard we try, you ignore us, argue with us, or tell us we're wrong. You are rejecting all of us Jimmy, and we're just trying to help.

You don't know what you fate holds any more than we do. Life is full of surprises and twists and turns, and heartache and joy, but if you just sit there and decide that you are going to be alone and depressed forever, you won't experience any of the good stuff that can happen in your life. Instead of being so negative, why don't you just listen to us for once?!

I have to stop now. This isn't good for me. Sad

*sigh* the bad thing is...I can see shades of me around that age in young Jimster, it's sad, you try to say, 'it'll be ok', but there's only so many times you can do that...which is evident.

It's like when people wake up hungover as fuck and say "I'M NEVER DRINKING AGAIN." They always relapse, just like Jimmy will.

We all see ourselves in him. That's why we're all so silly to think our advice would help him, because we've been through it.

We're idiots.

I refuse to believe that. Being unhelpable (not even a real word) and refusing to accept help are two totally different things. And since I can't give up on people and always want to help, I am once again responding to you. SOMEONE MAKE ME STOP!!!
