Ah ok you're smiling away in the upper left? All "Yay! Tim Barry is right in front of me!" while I was on the other side of the room going "Where the hell is Tim Barry? I can't see! I'm too short! I hate life!"

Kanye was so awesome last year that I wrote a whole article about it just from watching it online.

Of all songs Em could've done, 'Till I Collapse would've been my dream song for him to do and he did it. So cool!

I've been to some Hip-Hop shows. Some were cool, some were totally meh. For some reason the sound was always horrible.

Hey you know what isn't cool? I wasn't home for a few days and UPS came by 3 times and then decided to send my stuff back to Amazon apparently (?!) I thought they were supposed to hold this stuff at my local UPS place if I wasn't home, but I GUESS NOT. Hrmph.

thats weird.

sometimes I order things from amazon and ups has me sign it when it gets here and sometimes they just leave it at my front door without ringing the bell.

idk what their policies are.

Usually Amazon sends an email saying "Hey! Your stuff's been shipped!" and they didn't this time so I thought my stuff wouldn't get here til THIS week since I hadn't heard anything.

I never had a chance Sad

That's great, Ilaria! It's always more fun when you have someone to go with. I'm downloading that Frank Turner album right now. Very Happy

I don't actually work that much during the school year because I'm off while the girls are in school. I work a couple of hours in the morning until I drop them off, then I pick them up and work another 3-5 hours (depending on the day). I only average about 30 hours per week if they are in school every day. In the summer though, and on school holidays, that's when my hours add up. I will probably average around 55 hours a week this summer, sometimes more. I basically do everything a stay-at-home mom would do. It's BUSY! Sometimes it seems more like co-parenting between me and the kids' parents than me just being a nanny. I have all the responsibilities of a parent except for the finacial aspect.

Your friends should learn from you! Don't tell me they don't like Gaslight either...

I think your friends lead sad lives for not loving brilliant music. I just don't understand some people! Rolling Eyes Razz

It is a lot of responsibility. Knowing that their lives are entrusted to me and I am the only one (while their parents aren't home) keeping them safe and healthy and teaching them the skills they need to be able to go out in the world and have the best lives possible can be slightly overwhelming. But I've been taking care of kids since I was a kid (I started babysitting when I was 11), so I think I can handle pretty much anything at this point. It can be exhausting though...and challenging!

You never even babysat when you were a teenager? I can't imagine! During high school, I babysat at least one night a week, sometimes two or three, and I would save the money and use it to fund my trip to California every summer. Then my first real job was as an assistant teacher in my university's preschool, and I've worked at a couple of other schools as well, so I've always been around kids. They make life interesting!

I know that's very common there but it's not here, italy doesn't seem to like babysitters scratch
but even if they were I would totally not pick that as a job, I am just the most awkward human being around kids, even the one I know, I'd be the worst babysitter EVER!

Ahahaha, poor you! Yeah, some people just aren't kid people at all. I have known quite a few parents that aren't comfortable around kids - including their own!

What do Italian parents do with their kids when they want to go out by themselves?

well it's usually the grandparents who take care of the kids if the parents can't!
I spent a lot of time with my grandparents when my mum and dad were working so I guess that is why scratch
