no problem...it's like a virus going around here at DSS. the good thing is, once you've caught it, you're basically immune to future attacks of it! Very Happy

Funnily enough - i have something Gaslight Anthem related to report!

This guy (i mean idiot) has been trying to ask me out for awhile now... and i've been avoiding him like the plague. And now he offers his opinion on TGA (i did not even ask!) and accuses em of being Springsteen wannabes...

and wait for it...

he asks me out right after?

what kind of idiot does that?

its a good thing i already have a date with myself this weekend. :-P

I've definitely walked away from conversations where the person craps all over the music I like. It's not that they don't like what I like, it's just that it's really rude to tell someone what they like sucks.

So. A guy tells me that he's only going to a game if I'm going. My mind immediately says to me that he wants to see me. I can't tell if I should be thinking that or if I'm just sleep deprived.

He literally said he is only going if you're going. There is no analysis here. He wants to be somewhere you are. That is a good thing Smile

Totally.

Once at a party at my friend's place I put on some music by bands that I like such as Pearl Jam and Brand New.

Random girl: What is this? It's the worst music I've ever heard. Put on something good.

Me: I don't want to talk to you.

Richard Nixon's love letters to his wife are going on display. Which seems a bit weird, to display something so personal. But is it just me, or do people not fall in love like this any more?

People don't fall in love anymore at all. For the most part it is...One night stands...and if the girl is pregant the guy will usually run. At least around here it is that way.

Once I read something that said "They should have a Facebook option that says "friends with benefits" because that's all anyone is anymore." I found that depressing. Relationship dynamics have changed so much with technology and people seem to be sluttier than ever.

If my friends who are in couples wrote love letters to each other, I know nothing about it since we've never talked about it. So Steph, I dunno if people go about courting that way anymore. I'm sure there are still some guys who would write love letters out there. Romance can't be completely dead! I mean, as long as guys like Chuck Ragan exist, I have hope. That dude seriously loves his wife and is not shy about it at ALL. Sorry, Chuck's on my mind since I'm seeing a ton of SXSW tweets today!

No I think that a one-nighter might shatter JimmyB's brain. There's a bunch of emotions that come with one-nighters that no one tells you about.

Pretty much, all us guys who would do that stuff (Letters, not afraid to show romance, curtious, kind, etc) are always put into the dreaded friend zone, and when a girl complains about how there are no good guys left...I have to hold my tongue to keep from saying "They are all in your stupid friend zone area, while you want the mean guys who treat you like crap".
