I just tried to watch your video, but the most recent ones they have up when I click on the link are from 3/16. Do I need to look somewhere else once the page opens? scratch

Here's my cover of Mason Williams' Classical Gas. It still needs a little work, but I figured I'd put it up anyway.

This is a cover of Long Way Round by Stereophonis. Had a quick 5 minutes without anyone around and just decided to do this on a whim. This is my first ever time recording, and was recorded in one take on my dad's ipad, so the quality isn't too great and the fact that I can't sing for s**t doesn't help Laughing. But yeah I'd really like to hear what people think and get some constructive feedback.

I am not familiar with the original song but it seemed pretty good. I don't think your voice is bad at all. Just sing with a little more confidence and you'll sound even better.

Yeah that confidence part was an issue, was worried someone was gonna walk in on it at some point during the recording. Inevitably that did happen right at the end which you can hear in the final few seconds.

But thanks for that!

I discovered this band called Bad Veins when they were touring with We Were Promised Jetpacks, and they were SO much better than the headliner. They just came out with a new album called "The Mess We've Made", and it's got some really wonderful material on it - this one I really enjoyed, so I learned the basics of it on my mandolin. So yeah, I hope you guy like it. :]

Thatwas really nice, Konrad! Classical Gas is such a cool song, and I liked your cover. This is the kind of musical have on while I write because it helps me focus and get lost in the story. I thought it was great! Thanks for posting this! Smile

That was cool. I need to check out more of that band. A few years back I got their demo EP and loved it and then forgot to ever get any more of their stuff. I think they have a few albums now....should probably get on that.

I've been working on a cover of Fake Problems' "Songs For Teenagers", and I had the place to myself this morning, so I finally got the vocals recorded and finished everything up. Hope you guys enjoy!

Sarah, that was fantastic! You have the prettiest voice. This cover felt Ike it fell between Fake Problems and TGA's versions, which was pretty cool. I enjoyed it! Very Happy

You should send it to FP. I bet they would like it. Seems like all they do on Youtube is "like" videos of people covering their songs.

Oh, really? That's really cool that they take the time out to do that. I may just have to send it their way!

Sarah, your covers are amazing. Over the weekend I went back through the other thread to find the link for your other covers because I'd enjoyed them so much.

Oh, wow, thanks so much, Mike.

It's so great to have some feedback, because I've never really let anyone hear any of my recordings before I started posting them here on the forum, and it's so nice to hear that people are enjoying them.
