Hey everyone!

My name is Bertine, 25 years old, livin' the life in Amsterdam of projectionist, editor and student, enjoying every second of it. (Save that cinemas are playing a lot of digital these days and I do sell puritism when it comes to projecting movies, 8mm, 16mm, 35mm and 70mm ofcourse!)

Anyway, firm believer of High Fidelity's Rob Gordon: "What's important is what you like, not what you are like. Movies, books, music, these are things that matter." And at making top 5's (not always in order).

So, yes, I'm a big, huge fan of Bruce Springsteen. I'm a bit ashamed to say I had to discover The Gaslight Anthem through the 'No Surrender'-performace, but it led me to buying all their albums at once and visiting all their shows up untill now in The Netherlands. Because now I'll be flying to New York to see The Horrible Crowes show at the Bowery Ballroom. Smile

Top 5 Music:
1. Bruce Springsteen
2. The Gaslight Anthem (and every other Brian Fallon-related project)
3. Mumford & Sons
4. Black Stone Cherry
5. Otis Redding

Okay, probably too much information for my first post, my apologies!
Just hoping for a good time here on the board! Smile

Big commitment flying yo New York, it'll be great!

Have to say I hate Mumford & Suns though! But, maybe it's just an English thing!

Welcome Beritne. I also discovered Gaslight via Springsteen but not from that video.

I know that THC will no disappoint you next month in NYC.

I am going as well and thought the trip from Florida was a commitment. Not compared to your trip.

I am dying to hear that non-HC songs they play

Thanks for the welcome Smile

And yes, well, I'm completely hooked! Can't wait to hear the HC-songs, looking forward to Cherry Blossoms in particular!

@heardthewindsay: hate hate? Or simply don't like them? The lyrics of Mumford & Sons' White Blank Page' and 'Winter Winds' got me through a horrible break-up last year. Together with 'We Did It When We Were Young' from TGA btw. But it's a very typical kind of music, so I get it if people don't like it. I compensate that by loving it Wink

Wait, have Brian/Ian said they will play other songs, too? Just curious.

And welcome, have a nice stay!
