youre moving to california from sweden?
i lived in sb for about three years. it's kind of boring, it's somewhat small. but it's really gorgeous if you live by the beach, of course it's really expensive. according to an online cost of living calculator i found a long time back, it's more expensive than san francisco, if that means anything to you. my apt. was about $900 a month, for a small one bedroom that was actually a decent price considering it was in a good part of town and not run down or anything. it's not too warm, i mean it is warm, but being by the beach, it was often overcast til about noon, for me the weather was great. when i moved there, i moved there for a school, and we told that we, the students, were the middle class in sb- that the middle class except for us didn't really exist. it was homeless and really rich people who had second homes there. basically, i'd say it's way too expensive to go there for only a community college. if you were going to brooks or ucsb, it would be worth it.
