Anyone have any Frank bootlegs? I've got Live @ Pike's Garage and Live in Denmark.

"Not available in your area."

I love you BBC and your Top Gear but fuck you for the country restrictions. I'm gonna go listen to Pandora and wave an American flag.

Off to see him in October, 3 days after Green Day, should be awesome, tiny venue.

As for BBC restrictions, I do find it slightly stupid, I understand why it's done but it's so easy to get the videos off the internet now just by asking someone somewhere to rip it or youtube.

Surely there's proxy's as well that can fool the bbc into thinking your from the UK?

Legality. BBC will have brought the licence to Broadcast this material. A licence to only broadcast within the UK is cheaper than an international licence. The Beeb got so much stick for how much the spent on Glasto so this is unlikely to change. Also explains why you seldom get full sets as bands dont wont certain songs broadcast etc.

It took a while to grow on me, but it's another amazing album from him. The line 'Darling, oh my darling, you know that everthing that I do, is to try to make me good enough for you' is constantly stuck in my head.

Still not feeling this album, probably should get listening to it a bit more, his show isn't too long away now, 3 weeks!

I don't like it as much as Love, Ire & Song either.

The songwriting is different obviously (different melodies and more rock songs), but the production is a step down too. Also his band doesn't sound as great and full as on LI&S.
It's not a bad album, but like many of you I'm kinda dissapointed

It's slightly growing on me.

http://www.seetickets.com/see/event.asp?e|artist=FRANK+TURNER&n|artist=null&resultsperpage=20&filler1=see&filler2=FRANK%20TURNER&filler3=id1gmaps&orderby=date

He's announced more tour dates for next year now as well in the UK.

Playign Bristol twice (although not on seetickets for some reason), tempted to go to that as well.

He's playing a special intimate in store gig in Bristol tommorow, although with it being publicised I'm not sure how intimate it'll actually be.

Thinking about heading along, then seeing him in action in the evening also.

Still a few songs on the album I'm not a fan of although has certainly grown on me.

Off in half an hour to see him at the instore gig somewhere, then have a bite to eat before his gig this evening.

Wearing my trusty Gaslight t-shirt as well.

Met Frank at the instore gig and got a signed album which was awesome, was about a foot away from him through the gig, also got a few things signed by Beans on Toast as one of the supports.

Gig itself was average, was flipping boiling in the room and couldn't stand it for the most part, had to move from the front and leave on a few occasions. Also much prefer Frank on his own witha guitar, so much better for me than with his band. Certainly worth the 10 and Beans on Toast was brilliant.

Frank said it was the hottest gig he had played in his life, was ridiculous in there.
