A couple of days ago he headlined Terminal 5 (about 3,000 people). Anyone go to the T5 show? Just wondering how full it ended up being? Electric Factory looked like a great turnout.

Saw him last night. Definitely more sold on him than I've ever been. Lyrically and aesthetically I'm not always 100% on board with what he has to say but damn, he does put on a show. His voice was in top condition and as a bonus I loved his goofy dance moves.
Where abouts did you go and see him? Because he seems to have got fairly big over here in the UK now, I believe he's playing the 20,000 seater O2 Arena in February
Electric Factory in Philadelphia.

Frank Turner is one of the best performers I've ever seen in my 27 years on this planet.

I read his book and I must say it is interesting reading for people, who wanto to know more about what made him write some of the songs, and the way his career of solo singer-songwriter begun and evolved every year.

He also wrote about other musicians he met and what theyīre like and he was not writing nice about some of them. But only the best about TGA guys Very Happy

The book's on my Christmas reading list Wink

I really enjoy PSFNP by the way. It's like Tape Deck Heart was about living inside the heartbreak, focused on the other, while PSFNP is about picking up the pieces and moving on (and also about getting old and dying which are two of my favorite hobbies).

The sound of PSFNP is a bit different from his previous albums and it took me some time to get into it, but now I really enjoy it too. It was like with Get Hurt album from TGA, at first I was like naaah, but these days itīs probably my most played album from them (of course this changes from time to time). I probably needed to grow up a bit to fully enjoy these albums Very Happy
Now Iīm glad that both Frank and TGA have albums for every occasion.

Whatīs your favourite song from PSFNP? Mine is Josephine, which is quite funny, because I didnīt like it very much when I heard it for the first time. But this happens to me quite often Laughing

I was on Frank Turnerīs gig in Vienna this saturday and it was fantastic. His live shows are genuine fun and I recommend it to everyone who likes his music though only a bit...you will love it after the show. He had Will Varley and Skinny Lister as support and they were great too. Will Varley is one hell of a songwriter and Skinny Lister are great party guys...and girl Laughing

I'll be seeing Frank Turner open for Flogging Molly on 8-20 at the Stone Pony. I'm told that Chuck Ragan is also going to be on the bill although I'm not seeing evidence of that.

My friend's band The Vansaders is playing inside the Pony earlier in the evening and has discounted tickets for the whole evening. Anybody interested in joining please PM me.
