I figured that it's close enough to start up this annual thread. Post your shows/concerts/festivals that you've attended or will attend for the remainder of 2010. I always love to see what bands people saw throughout the year.

here's my list

Feb 13- Sound Tribe Sector 9 at Fox Theater in Oakland.
Mar 19- Brian Fallon, Joe Sib at The Troubadour in Los Angeles.
Mar 20- Yellow Red Sparks in Santa Ana.
April 2- Moostache, Steelwells in Long Beach.
April 14- Frank Turner, Franz Nicolay, Bird by Bird at The Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco.
June 4- Red Cortez at the Mezz Bar in Los Angeles.
June 23- Polar Bear Club, Moving Mountains, Lemuria, Living with Lions at Chain Reaction.
July 9- Bad Astronaut, Joey Cape, Mike Hale at Chain Reaction in Anaheim.
July 21- The Gaslight Anthem, Chamberlain, Tim Barry at the Wiltern in Los Angeles.
Octb 3- Patti Smith, Elvis Costello and the Sugarcanes and Lucero in San Fransisco part of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass.

Oh man, I'll need to get my computer out and look at the spreadsheet. This year it will have been 54 shows for certain, possibly 55 if we manage to get into a sold out one on the 30th.

Best year so far. Last year was 42, I believe.

Clearly there's only one activity that makes me feel alive. I am okay with this!

Dude how have ya'll been to so many concerts? All I went to were:

festivals:

BFD (day long festival. Got to see Gaslight, Sublime With Rome and a handful of other bands)
Warped (day long again. Got to see tail end of Bouncing Souls, Andrew W.K., Polar Bear Club, Alkaline Trio and a few others)

shows:

New Politics + Gaslight for Music in the Park
Frank Turner + Lucero + Social D at HoB Cleveland
Company Of Thieves + The Hold Steady at Mr Smalls in Pittsburgh
Supporting acts + Ninja Gun + Fake Problems at Garfield Artworks in Pittsburgh

Now, to be fair, those covers five or six of my ten favorite bands. Totally made up for my lack of quantity with quality =)

I figure I'll wind up going to see more shows next year (moving to Seattle, which should have more shows. Also going to have more time / make more of an effort to see bands that arn't at the very top of my favorite list).

man, ya'll are making me jealous... this was a tough year for shows, but a change of address will hopefully remedy things for the upcoming year...

the shows i went to in 2010...

The Hold Steady - The Belly Up, Solana Beach CA
Look Mexico / Writer / The Helen Earth Band - The Che Cafe, La Jolla CA
The Frontier Brothers - Antone's, Austin TX
Ted Leo & The Pharmacists / Zola Jesus / How I Quit Crack - Red 7, Austin TX
J Roddy Walston & The Business - Auditorium Shores, Austin TX
Trumpeter Swan - End Of An Ear, Austin TX
Little Deadman, Writer - Casbah, San Diego CA

not a whole lot, but seeing The Hold Steady and Ted Leo/RX made up for a lot of the smaller bands that i wanted to see but didn't quite make it out to this year.

Jealous of all your east/west coasters and the bands you get. Sure I saw my share of concerts but lots of my favorite punk bands skip the midwest completely on every tour.

Yes I started keeping a log (and traced it back to every show I've been to) because I'm always amazed that every time I talk to my dad he remembers some other show that I've never heard him talk about before. And since ticket stubs are somewhat of a thing of the past, I figured I'd just write them all down.

I'm kind of disappointed in the loss of ticket stubs. I always used to keep mine in a shoebox. I still never get rid of them when I have them, but so many shows/venues just have a list of names anymore.

I am proper sad I have about 4 massive frames stuffed with tickets its kinda cool though since I have done it since my first ever show so each frame is representative of a different period in my musical tastes growing up. There are a few sports tickets in there as well.

Man, doing a big collage of tickets sounds like a great idea! At least for the ones that aren't signed on both sides or something. Couldn't include all but it would be neat to do. I'd need to find a place for it... the hallway is already almost out of room with framed setlists.

Im thinking of making one big one of a a selection as I know longer have the room where they where all hung up (it was my music room but now its been turned back to a study now I moved out). Think my Girlfriend will appreciate it a little bit more than me turning up with loads when we hopefully move in together next year. Luckily she really likes Gaslight and the El Jefe print I have so thats all good :p

Festivals

I totally agree with fullcollapse when he said concerts make him feel alive.

I also caught the TGA/Chamberlain/Tim Barry tour (4th TGA show).

Saw my friends band 4 times also ( http://www.myspace.com/goodbyecoastline ).

Everything else blends together.
