Yep, fell in love with it last night on the first listen. Over to the Gaslight boys for their reply for album of the year!

Exister is the album to beat right now in 2012. On The Impossible Past is great, but I think HWM edged them.

Cheap girls is better than both exister and impossible past. But exister is now second for me. Glad to see a real true return to form for HWM.

They played 5 or 6 from Exister. White White walls, flight and a crash, remedy, trusty chords, no division, and a bunch of others. It ruled. So many bad stage dives, the church floor was soaked with beer and blood.

Apparently they are coming back in September. So hopefully that means a full US tour and not just 5 shows scattered around.

and JohnnyC I hope Giant Orange doesn't disappoint. Its incredible. Ian Graham is a great songwriter and the songs have a lot of power to them. Enjoy!

Listened to cheap girls new record and wasn't really blown away by it. It just seemed like, another average record in the genre. Certainly worth a listen but nothing that really sticks with you. Compared to Impossible Past and Exister which are both all kinds of good. I'll have to give Giant Orange another listen.

This is literally almost exactly what I was going to post. I'm not big on the guy's voice, but I think they've got some decent songs.

And I think On The Impossible Past is edging Exister for me now, but it changes depending on which record I heard most recently haha.

Anyone go to that show in LA? Rumor was that it was a "co-headlining" show with Touche Amore. If thats true I am sooooo bummed.

the Pomona show (near LA) had Touche Amore on the bill...the record release show in LA had Tim Barry on the bill.

Oh whoops! It is just difficult to comprehend a band with 2 full length albums co-headlining with HWM who have countless records out (you can count them, but for the sake of laziness I didn't).

Do you know if that was the case Sanam? Joyce Manor was on one of those shows as well I believe.

Maybe it was to get more younger kids in the door? In referring to the co-headlining. Ghostlimb played too. Band rules as well.

We got Daylight and White Wives. Not my favorites. Daylight essentially sounds like a near-suicidal/self-depricating version of HWM.

Can't wait till HWM come back in September.
