Thanks a lot! yeh i'm kind of working towards writing an EP or something, i have around 6/7 songs for it now but i am being pretty cautious with it as i am used to writing guitar parts for other people rather than my own lyrics etc so we shall see. I might put a couple of demos on here soon and see what people think Smile

I don't think I've heard anyone else cover The Queen of Lower Chelsea, but you did a great job on it! I like Keep It Dark, too. Great voice!

Hey guys as a big Gaslight fan myself Ive posted about 15 Brian Fallon/ Gaslight covers on my You Tube Profile. Please give them a watch at the link below and 'like', comment, subscribe if you wish. Any feedback is much appreciated. Covered songs include Casanova Baby, Meet me by the rivers edge, 59 Sound, Old White Lincoln, Backseats, The Blues Mary, Tin Pan Alley, heres Looking at you kid, We came to dance, American Slang, Senor and the Queen, Great Expectations, The Spirit of Jazz, Drive and High Lonesome. Also covers of songs Brian has covered like Antonia Jane, I do not hook up and whiskey in the jar, gone by the bouncing souls.

I want to record a nice little cover but I simply can't decide what song.

Please post some suggestions from '59 Sound and American Slang.

Here is my newest cover, Knocking on Heaven's Door - Bob Dylan (w/ The '59 Sound & Hallelujah)

http://soundcloud.com/the-well-being/knocking-on-heavens-door-bob

This song is incredibly special to me (read description under track) and in this cover I included choruses from TGAs 'The '59 Sound' & Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah.' I think you'll be surprised how well they all meld together Smile
I recorded this a couple days ago and planned to upload it tonight when I found out today is the perfect day to do so, Happy 70th Birthday Bob Dylan!
If you could take the time to listen or even read the lil description w/ the song, it would mean more than you know, and critique is always welcome! Thanks, guys

BTW: My gf & I's "song" is Brian's cover of Hallelujah Very Happy

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

I wish I had a better microphone (This was recorded on my cellphone) so I could do better recordings with more guitars and maybe some vocal harmonies.

I now have a Macbook Pro, a brand new Taylor acoustic guitar and a Samson Meteor USB microphone.

Imma record a god damn cover with guitar layers, vocal harmonies, the works. What song should I pick?
