I was listening to The Who's 'Baba O'Reily' earlier and when I heard the following lines

"Sally, take my hand
Travel south cross land
Put out the fire
Don't look past my shoulder"

I suddenly thought of these lines in Oasis' 'Don't Look Back in Anger'

"So Sally can wait,
she knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away,

but don't look back in anger"

Is there a connection? Is this the same Sally? We may never know.

If I remember correctly Oasis have covered My Generation, so they could well be big Who fans...

probly not. there are like 3 words in common between those 2 lines. Sally's a pretty common name. doesn't mean it's the same Sally in "Meet Me By the River's Edge"
