I kinda like this song a lot but I still think it reminds me too much of Magdalene! haha

Other than being in the same key I'm not hearing any similarities. I love both songs to death, though.

I used to love The Killers after Hot Fuss and Sam's Town, but went right off them after their last album. Didn't like it at all, the nabout that time got into Gaslight, Chuck Ragan & co and completely stopped listening to them for a few years.

Read this thread and thought I'd give Sam's Town a listen again...glad I did! It really is a great album. This forum is amazing for falling in love with albums all over again, or discovering new artists!

Will give the new stuff a listen now Smile.

That's what I always loved about The Killers, their lyrics tell a story (Dustland Fairytale, Runaways, Mr. Brightside) and that's what I love about TGA and Brian's lyrics. I feel like each album or song has a story with characters/settings/imagery that we as fans have come to know/become attached to.

Which is why I wish Brian would get back to proper story telling again, because in that regard his lyrics are second to none.

Will have to check out that DVD.

awesome isn't it! same here though, on all you said.

Missed out on a ticket for their gig anyway, kinda upset. Will probably have to catch them on an arena tour.

This song hasn't grown on me yet but I love the Killers and can't wait for the new album (and tour!). Their music epitomizes life in the desert (I love the desert), kind of similar to how TGA's music captures growing up in Jersey. You get a feel for a place and time, which is cool.

Loving Runaways now! Funny how a song can take awhile to hit you but when it does it's a great feeling Smile

Saw them at V festival over the weekend, Runaways sounded great, they played another new song too which sounded really good. Can't wait for the new album now and hopefully to see them again soon.

I got about 5 songs in and was so bored I had to turn it off. Runaways is good though. None of the others grabbed me. I'll finish it eventually though.

Noticed today, as well as the "turn the engine over" lyric in Runaways, Brandon sings "with the radio on" on Miss Atomic Bomb haha

I'm 5 tracks deep and wish there was a bit more rock rather than ballads... Whoever said they were bored by it, I agree... This isn't exciting at all...

it's really slow overall, i was surprised. i think be still is the best one out of the slow songs. it's like the album is ALMOST real good, but it just kinda falls short the way the songs play out
