The Aggrolites are an incredible band. They do the early reggae/soul thing quite well. The first time I heard them I thought they were an old Jamaican band from the late sixties, untill I saw their video Pop The Trunk. The singer also sounds incredible and has a great rough soul voice reminiscent of Wilson Pickett and Otis Redding They just released another great album called Aggrolites IV. I'm seeing them this tuesday.
Any love for these guys here?

I've heard of them, but never heard any of their stuff. For some reason I always presumed they were a hardcore band. But from your description it sounds like they might be my cup of tea. I'll definetly check them out soon.
